This small family bathroom had a panelling effect on the walls to break it into sections and create a rhythm. The picture rail and skirting/base boards link the vertical rails to give a more horizontal unified look. The vertical rails were based on a Mack. original idea, with square motifs at the top of each. The rich wood colour and wall colour have as much an American Arts & Crafts feel as they do a Mack fee. Here the door has been designed as part of the overall room look. We've shown this wall treatment with white painted woodwork against grey walls, on another page, to show how we can play with these ideas.
