One aspect of a Mack interior is how to link the whole room together for a complete Mack look. Mackintosh used wall treatments repeatedly to create unified interiors, and left a wide range of examples to do this. Mackintosh interiors often included some form of wall panelling linked with skirting/base boards, picture rails, doors, etc. to link the room walls. Here we used a Mack idea for the vertical columns, again including black squares detailing. The grey painted walls perfectly constrast the white painted woodwork, giving a very crisp interior scheme. Even the room doors were created to tie in with the room woodwork. This can be quite a cost effective way to treat walls to give a clear Mackintosh room look.
