CR Mackintosh - Breakfast tables
This table was originally designed by CR Mackintosh as a full size Oak dining table for the
Willow Tea Rooms, in 1903. The design has been adapted to make an elegant & striking breakfast
table to seat 4 people. With the recurring 3 square cut-out motifs in each leg, a typical
feature of Mack's at this time. Roger Billcliffe described it in his catalogue as a "Robust,
even crude design"; i think it is all the better for that. We could supply it either painted
(white, grey/silver or black) or in Oak or other wood finishes, or do it as a lower height
coffee table (shown on a seperate page). While the original table had a round top, it could look
equally good with a square top, to match the leg cut-outs, or even an oval top. We would favour the
use of the larger leg rails for extra strength. Made to order. Please note we do not supply
these chairs.
