This bookcase or storage unit would be ideal for a home office. It is based on Mackintosh's kitchen dresser at his last great commission, 78 Derngate in Northampton. It is painted green like the other kitchen furniture, but could be painted black, white or yellow as some of the other woodwork at Derngate. The green colour looks forward to the approaching Art Deco style, as much of what Mack did at Derngate anticipated this new style. Why not add a matching desk to go with this? The unit can be supplied freestanding or built-in, primed/painted or wood finished. If having built-in bookcases they are usually finally painted in the room, as they may get some marking during installation. The interiors can be fitted out however you like, and are generally a wood finish interior. We can use any handles you like. Bear in mind it is usually not practical to deliver completely assembled cabinets, due to access problems and the weight - they are usually assembled in the room. Made to order. Also, please ensure you have enough clearance for hinged doors. We don't discuss sizes or pricing until we've agreed a spec with a customer.
