This striking bathroom design has a strong Mackintosh look with many of his design elements present. This shows how this style of furniture can be translated into a modern bathroom interior, and looks to the past and the present. This inludes a large 2 door vanity unit, shown in a medium oak finish. It is shown with round hammered antique brass door handles, but we can fit any you prefer. Internally it would just be fitted with 1-2 shelves. We've shown this with a stone worktop and sit-on sink, but usually a customer will source their own stone worktop, sink and tap(s) locally. fitting a towel rail or ring on the side is a practical touch. Shown above is an asymetrical version of these units, for a smaller bathroom, or a larger symetrical unit below, painted in a Tearoom grey.
This is a visually clean vanity unit, and includes typical Mackintosh features such as the lower curved door edges, the elongated and feature painted finials, a wide cornice, etc. A real feature piece of this set is the tall display/storage unit, with sweeping curved sides that extend the verticals above the top and with carved & painted oval details at the top, a device Mackintosh used regularly. The large mirror completes the look, and visually links the vertical line of the vanity side and the top horizontal line of the storage unit, with an ornate cornice. We can change the dimensions or proportions of any of these pieces as they are made to order, as well as change the painted or wood or wood finish to whatever you want. These pieces are made to order, and we don't discuss sizes, finishes or prices until we have agreed a spec. with a customer.
