The 'Giraffe' design was originally produced by the Omega Workshops c.1913 as a 2 door cupboard. The cupboard was one of several pieces of marquetry veneer work produced. The Giraffe is an early example of Cubism and makes a striking design. Large pieces of veneer work requires a high level of craft skill to execute well and requires larger sheets of veneers. The base is quite simple and made of stained wood. The table top is clear lacquered for protection, but you could also add a sheet of glass for long term durability.
We can supply the 'Giraffe' design as a breakfast table or a larger dining table; as made to order we can adapt the sizes so long as we keep these proportions. We have also shown this as a smaller coffee table below. We don't discuss prices until we have agreed a spec. with a customer.
