This is a new sideboard, inspired by an early Omega Workshops design c. 1914. The Abstract design adapted really well to a stunning new piece of artistic furniture. Whilst very practical & offering plenty of storage, is essentially a large canvas for the hand painted designs. The design lends itself to adapting the number of 'panels' to create a 2, 3 or 4 door version, and we've shown examples of each. The sideboard above is painted the same red as in the original design, but the designs below use other colours in the design for the carcase, giving you more choice with colour schemes. The worktop is shown as a painted top, which could be painted in any of the colours of the main design, as examples below. The top could also be marble, granite, quartz, limestone, Corian, glass, wood, etc.. It is fitted with internal shelves, but the fit-out can be as you prefer. We've shown most examples with a fitted plinth, typical of Omega/Bloomsbury furniture, but we've also shown a couple of examples on legs, for a more modern look. It is made to order, so you can change the sizes / proportions to suit, within reason due to the front design.

Rather than follow the example of the original artists, in Omega & Bloomsbury, and decorate secondhand pieces of found furniture, we design & produce pieces from new with the designs planned from the start to create unified new pieces. As you can imagine if you were to commission a new sideboard and a large painting like this seperately they would not come cheap, we've just combined the 2. We can and have put this sideboard design to other new uses, such as bookcases/ display units, media centres, tables and vanity units. We don't discuss sizes or pricing until we've agreed the finished design details with a client.

The Abstract painted design used for table tops;

The dining breakfast table and coffee table above adapted the Abstract design to fit onto a flat surface, table tops, to produce an artistic table you can use & enjoy every day. The dining table can be made longer withthe addition of another 'panel'. Thecoffee table just uses a single panel. Sizes made to order.
