Voysey didn't design any kitchen stools, as stools weren't used at the time for sitting. However, if he had they would have looked pretty much like this. In natural oak with rush seats. They could look equally good with leather seats as well. We can take the design further, & have rounded feet & chamfered legs; however, stools take quite a bit of weight & stress, so we preferred to keep as much 'meat' on the legs as possible here. Made to order.

These 2 stools form part of the Illinois range, with a bit more American Mission style about them. This is probably due to the side vertical rails, but this idea could have derived from Voysey's straight rails used in several pieces from chair backs to stair newel rails. Anyway, they have a classic Arts & Crafts aesthetic that would sit happily in any Voysey interior. The stools combine oak & leather, but could be finished in your own choice of fabric. The high stool is intended for kitchens, the low stool for living areas or maybe a bedroom vanity. Made to order. Hi-stool size; H: 83cm x 40cm square. Lo-stool size; H: 53 x 40 cm square.
