This is a smaller version of the classic Voysey chair, intended for bedrooms. For some reason in the late Victorian Edwardian period there were an awful lot of these small bedroom chairs made, this must be seen as part of that trend.
We have the drawings for this chair & could reproduce it for you. But I would ask the basic question; why would you want a smaller lightweight version of the proper dining chair ? The cost is virtually the same for either, so I would always recommend going for the full size version, which you can then place anywhere in the house.
This dining table & 4 chairs were produced for the owner of a Voysey house. These chairs were adapted by making the backs a bit lower in proportion; the client didn't want the top rails blocking out the view through the bay window.
