Marquetry handles
We've been playing around with Donald Deskey design ideas for some time now, and using his original pieces to produce
new work with the same styling. These are some of the most unusual Deco handles you're ever likely to see. There are 2
handle shapes, and all of them have Cubist patterns in either marquetry veneer or painted. We've shown several
colourways below, but you could have these in whatever finish you wanted. But they would add a real wow to any
piece of furniture; we've shown them on a cupboard here but you could use them on wardrobes, kitchen units and other
pieces. The handles could be made from most woods. Marquetry is a skilled handcraft, and is not cheap - but then what
value do you put on using something beautiful and practical everyday? The handles are gripped from the side, to avoid
the marquetry being handled. We generally only supply these as part of a furniture order - made to order.

The above photo shows typical veneers used to build up these designs, a slow process requiring a high level of craft skill.
Generally we will only supply handles like these as part of furniture we supply.
We register our new designs as they are added to the website, and these images can not be used without our
