Another new dining table design based on original table formats having 2 base supports but treated in a new more graphic way. These are original designs but definately capture the look of Art Deco. The support blocks are really a practical backdrop for the striking Cubist Deco designs applied to the faces. The black and silver designs above can be done several ways, and in many finishes including gold or silver leafed, or screen printed or actual brass, steel, copper, etc. and the bases can be in a painted or wood finish. They really offer a wonderful Deco statement in any interior. The proportions of the pattern also be changed, the bottom table shows a tall design on the base supports. We can also add further elaboration on the sides of the base supports, as shown below.

The glass top allows you see the decorative designs unhindered, as they are the focal point of the piece. The base supports are physically substantial to support the heavy glass top, but their size can be altered if need be. The table top itself is quite large, to allow 2 chairs to fit between the base sections, and an overhang for chairs at the ends. But as the supports are not fixed to the top they can be moved in & out as required, which allows for varying chair sizes. Customers will usually choose their own chairs to go with such a table.

We have shown the table with a glass top, which could be clear, etched or back painted glass, or a solid top (ie stone, marble, etc). Due to the weight, size, and care needed to move a large piece of glass, we see customers sourcing the glass top closer to where they live; we will provide the details for ordering it. This makes shipping the 2 bases relatively straight forward and cost effective. Made bespoke to order, we don't discuss prices until we've agreed a specification with a client.
