Paul Frankl - Cabinets & sideboards
This cabinet is the bottom half of a Frankl bookcase, exactly as he designed it. This base cabinet can be used as
a cupboard (for a home office?), a drinks cabinet, a sideboard, etc. The original piece was as the design above left,
in 2 wood shades with black edges. It has the typical Frankl Skyscraper styling & proportions typical of his best work.
A nice Frankl touch shown here is the use of edge colours, giving a very graphic effect, almost like Mondrian's work.
Frankl's furniture was generally either a wood or lacquered finish. For the lacquered finishes he had several colours
he preferred; we have shown quite a few colour options below, some in Frankl colours and other not, but in more generic
Deco colours. As these are made to order you can change the proportions, ie wider or taller or shallower, as well as
the finish to whatever colour or wood you prefer. We don't give out prices or dimensions until we have agreed the
spec with the customer.

The proportions of the cabinet could be changed to suit your requirements. The one shown above has been made wider
while keeping the same general look of the piece. You could make it deeper or shallower, taller or lower. Or change
the woods or painted finish.
