One of our new designs for a Frankl style media entertainment center display unit, for those looking for a room dominating piece of Deco furniture. This Skyscraper style unit was inspired by a Frankl bookcase desk of c. 1928. The original bookcase desk was the most complex design of any of his bookcases and arguably has the most striking composition. Frankl, like all designers, adapted his own designs to produce new variations, so we followed the same design process in designing this new piece, we re-arranged some of the original bookcase elements in a different format to produce a this very substantial piece of furniture. We also designed a bookcase display unit variation of the design as well, shown below & on a seperate page - the tall end sections are essentially the same just reversed for a different look. We can design other variations on either piece if you require them.

Such a large imposing piece of furniture offers masses of storage and display space. It is the epitome of Skyscraper style, looking almost like a city skyline from a distance. We can change the general layout or proportions, wood finish or maybe a painted finish, or a combination of both. As stated above this is a very complex designwise, and complicated to cut and assemble. The high plinth is striking on this piece, with it's stepped profile gives great crispness to the piece. It is made of several sections, for ease of shipping; which requires minimal assembly at your end. Please enquire for more details and to discuss your requirements. Needless to say such a piece is not for the budget conscious, it would be a very expensive piece to make.
