These would have a real presence in any interior or home office, capturing that great Skyscraper styling stepped outline. While the general profile is symetrical they do look asymetrical as well with the various steps & open shelf sections. Any such bookcase designs always draw on the influence of Paul Frankl's original pieces. The base is a relatively straight forward piece, it's the top sections where the real interest visually is.
The base comprises 4 door cupboards with a shelf in each and 2 open shelf spaces (these could have doors as well if prerred. The upper sections mainly have doors following the stepped outline, with shelves inside, and a drawer at the bottom. We could just make the top sections with just a single door. All topped off by top steps to complete the Skyscraper look. The starting point for the size & scale of this media center would probably the size of TV screen you want. The TV is usually mounted on the back panel, but it may be possible to strengthen this for a supporting bracket that allows a TV to be pulled forward and positioned at an angle.
