Art Deco - Doors

Another striking design utilising Stepped Skyscraper styling. The doors can be made as a single or pair, as shown below. The panels are wide to permit a lot of light thru, but could be narrower. When paired with our own design stepped Skyscraper style door handles the impact is greatly increased. The door frames and/or the panel mouldings can be changed in colour for even more Deco effect. The stepped pattern can be reversed, but both versions work to produce a Skyscraper style pattern, with the panels. The doors can in a range of woods or any painted colour you want. And the panels can be in a range of materials, from glass to stained glass, painted, metal, wood veneer, etc. As the doors are made bespoke to order we can make them however you want, including changing the proportions as shown below. Generally we would just supply the made up door(s) & handle(s), and the customer's installer would fit these on site, including fitting the hinges, locks, handles, etc. Therefore most times we would supply the doors unfinished because they will probably get marked when fitting. These designs are to show you how the final doors might look in various finishes. Made to order. We don't give out prices until we've agreed a spec with a customer.

Door openings do not always conform to classic door proportions. The above example shows how the proportions of the above doors might be changed with narrower or taller door frames and still work visually.

Flat faced doors with Skyscraper style handles;

Although the above designs are for wardrobes it does show you how a simple flat faced door can be totally enlivened with the addition of striking handles. These stepped Skyscraper style door handles purely for dramatic effect. As there is no handle to turn with this style of door handle the door would have to be on some kind of push catch instead.
