Bring some design into ordinary internal house doors, by using stained leaded glass panels. These doors feature Cubist style glass panels to enliven up any interior and really add the Art Deco look to a room. They also allow a lot of light to flow between 2 rooms or areas and make the spaces appear visually bigger. You could even pair these doors. Although these doors shown are internal doors they could also be used for front or back doors, if the right wood is used and the glass panels are double glazed. The door proportions can be altered easily because the leaded glass design lends itself to being easily modified. The doors themselves can be in either a wood of your choice or painted / lacquered to any colour you want. We could even introduce more colour to the glass, but the clear textured / rippled glasses were typical of the Deco period. Made to order.
Practicality is always a consideration with a doors like these; the weight of the glass is held in place by soft lead lines, which can over time cause the panel to bow or sag, especially as a door is being moved a lot. Thin steel re-inforcing rods can be incoporated into the lead lines to strengthen them.

Every door and glass panel begins life as a CAD drawing, to exactly the size you require. While the doors above show a single top panel, these doors add a middle bar to the single top panel to create 2 square panels, matching the bottom square panel. This also makes for stronger glass panels, as they are only half the height each. You can vary the glass pattern as shown above.
