Ok, so not everyone wants a Viking style wardrobe! But what if you want to recreate a Viking Revival style interior today ? You have to carry the look through in the whole room. With this in mind we have presented some ideas for Viking style wardrobes. These could be freestanding as shown here, or could be built in if you prefer.
The idea was to give the wardrobe design that sense of imposing size, solidity, and that 'plank' look of being made by a Viking craftsman. We have shown several design variants to give you some ideas on what we could do. We have shown the designs with rounded over doors, to echo the tops of the 'Dragons' on the bed. But they can equally be square topped.
The wardrobes could be supplied as singles, doubles or triples. They could equally be used to create a run of built in wardrobes, hiding a more modern interior. The use of blacksmith made hinges and door handles further adds to the period flavour. Just bear in mind the practicality of getting furniture this size into most bedrooms ! We would probably allow for some form of knock down/assemble on site.
Offering these kinds of designs is really for those who are serious about doing a complete interior in this style. From looking at these designs you can see that we can, and will, design any modern requirement in the old Norse style.
