Egyptian - Desk

Imagine sitting at such a striking desk everyday, feeling like a Hollywood mogul....... These console desks are a new take on Ancient Egyptian furniture, and have an Art Deco sensibility about them. The overall shape uses typical Egyptian sloped sides, seen on everything from buildings to furniture, but we inverted the usual sloped shape, but it looks still very typically Egyptian in style. The black base colour gives it a dramatic look, with a decorative painting of the winged Godess the dominant design, surrounded by heiroglyphs for a sophisticated overall look. The designs are painted on both outside base ends, but we could add further decoration to the inside faces as well, although they are seen less. This piece can be used in several ways, as a console table, dressing table or a desk. The support bases can be made a bit narrower or wider, as can the top - as usual we can adapt the dimensions, designs and colours as required. The tops shown are limestone, the classic Egytian stone, or a dark granite, but could equally be another stone, wood, glass, Corian, laminate, etc.. The office chair shows how the old and modern combine easily. You can also add one of our bookcases for storage, or commission a whole office in this style. The whole piece can be left newly painted or distressed as you prefer. Made to order, we don't disclose sizes or prices until we've agreed a spec with a customer.
