This large piece has a visually strong shape, influenced by the splayed shape & massing of Pylon buildings and gates from Egypt. The decoratively painted front really makes the piece, with typical Egyptian designs and patterns. This piece can be used for several purposes, from wardrobes to media center, display unit, drinks cabinet, bookcase, home office use, etc. As well as the sploped shaped frame around the furniture, we have also shown a straight frame around it, or you could choose to have no frame.
We can treat the sides in 2 ways, as shown. Solid sides give more the visual impression of a solid block of a building. Or we can leave the ends open, using shelves and/or a cupboard, for display/storage space. Handpainting robes like these takes skill and time to get right, being done the same way as thousands of years ago, hence not cheap - you are essentially ordering a bespoke run of wardrobes and a bespoke large scale painting (which just happen to be combined in one piece). The painting can be left clean and contemporary, or distressed to look more antique. Below we've shown just a few ideas for different colours and designs, but we can decorate this anyway you want and in any colours you want. The robe interiors can be fitted out any way you like. Made to order, we don't disclose sizes or prices until we've agreed a spec with a customer.
