A reproduction of a South German bench, c. 1836. This form of chair & bench, with ornate back & splayed tapered legs, are typical of central Europe, & Germany in particular. A simple, ornate & very elegant country piece of furniture.
Hand-painted roses adorn the back of the bench, beloved of Tyrolian / German country furniture makers of this period. The legs & back are base painted green, with the seat being left in dark stained wood for contrast. Seat Width 60" / 1.5M x D32cm. Seat ht 17.5". There were lots of variants of these designs, speak to us if you want something different along the same lines. Made to order.
