Clarice Cliff was the famous English China designer of the Art Deco period, and produced endless bright colourful tea set designs with striking patterns & designs, which are hugely popular today. We used some Clarice Cliff designs for a new colourful range of bathroom furniture, to give you some ideas to create a new Jazzy bathroom. For all the decorative surfaces the bathroom suite still looks clean & contemporary.
The 2 door vanity unit uses a standard sit-on vanity basin, witha nice wide worktop. Taps we would leave to customers to choose. The vanity can be painted in any colour combination you want. Internally it can be fitted with shelves. The matching 2 door wall cupboard has mirror panels, which as well as being practical makes the room look bigger. The interior is fitted with a couple of shelves. The wall unit is mounted by one of our Deco cornice mouldings, to emphasis the Deco look (but this can be omitted if preferred). The bath panels have also been painted to match, and can be made to whatever size of bath you want. These pieces are all made to order, so sizes, proportions, colours can be made whatever you want. The only limitation is the size of vanity sinks we can use. But you can get round this easily by having a stone worktop & undermounted sink. Made to order.
The top design is based on her original colour scheme. However, Clarice would often do alternative colour schemes using the same design. So we did the same & show other colour options below. But there are lots of Clarice designs we could do as well. Below left is shown another version of the vanity unit; this one is a bit lower and uses a sit-on basin with a tall mixer.
Clarice Cliffs' designs & colours aren't to everyone's taste. Maybe even more so when used large scale like this for bathroom furniture. But they are still a part of the whole Art Deco style. Sometimes it's good to have a splash of colour in a room scheme. It's all about choice & giving you new ideas for your Deco bathroom.
